Join the acclaimed orchestra led by Daniel Dodds featuring Korean violinist Inmo Yang.
The Festival Strings Lucerne, under the direction of Daniel Dodds, will make its debut performance in Singapore on March 12, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. The concert, held at the Esplanade Concert Hall, will last approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, with a 20-minute intermission.
Founded in 1956 by Wolfgang Schneiderhan and Rudolf Baumgartner, the Festival Strings Lucerne is renowned worldwide, and described by the Spanish newspaper El Mundo as “one of the most brilliant chamber orchestras.” Since 2012, Daniel Dodds, an Australian-born Swiss violinist, has been the Artistic Director. The orchestra will perform Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony, Prokofiev’s Symphony No.1 ‘Classical,’ and Richard Dubugnon’s Caprice No. 4 for Orchestra.
The concert will also feature Inmo Yang, winner of the 2022 Jean Sibelius Violin Competition and the 2015 Paganini Violin Competition. Inmo will perform Henri Vieuxtemps’ Violin Concerto No. 5. He has collaborated with renowned conductors and released albums under Deutsche Grammophon, showcasing his exceptional talent and musical virtuosity.
