Peru reveals its agenda for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2024 Presidency, focusing on economic formality and digitization
PERU revealed its priorities and initiatives for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2024 Presidency during the “APEC Outcomes and Outlook 2023/2024 Briefing” event organized by the Secretariat of APEC in Singapore. Ambassador Carlos Vásquez, President of the APEC Peru 2024 Senior Officials’ Meetings, and Mrs. Julia Torreblanca, President of the APEC Business Advisory Council, highlighted Peru’s commitment to APEC as a crucial platform for cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.
The APEC 2024 theme, “Empower, Include, Grow,” sets the stage for over 160 meetings to be held in Peru, focusing on facilitating the transition to formality for economic actors through technology and digitization. Peru’s initiatives aim to empower economies, include all sectors in economic growth, and foster sustainable development throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
