Prime Minister Narendra Modi recognizes the pivotal role of creators in nation-building at the first-ever National Creators Awards, celebrating achievements across diverse fields

IN an inspiring event held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi presented the National Creators Awards to a group of distinguished individuals who have made significant contributions to various sectors through their creativity and innovation on March 08, 2024. The ceremony, aimed at highlighting the vital role of creators in driving societal progress, featured awardees from fields such as technology, storytelling, environmental conservation, and more.

The ‘New India Champion’ award was bestowed upon Abhi and New, recognized for their engaging way of presenting facts to the audience. They shared their approach of combining energy with information, much like the Prime Minister’s own style, to keep their audience engaged.

Keerthika Govindhasamy, known for her historical storytelling as Keerthi History, received the Best Storyteller Award. She highlighted the importance of language inclusivity and the interconnectedness of history and politics in her discussions with the Prime Minister.

Ranveer Allahbadia was named Disruptor of the Year for his efforts to raise awareness about sleep deprivation and wellness, while Ms. Pankti Pandey, an ex-scientist from ISRO, was honored with the Green Champion Award for her work in promoting environmental sustainability through Mission LiFE.

Jaya Kishori, awarded for Best Creative for Social Change, shared her experiences as a modern-day storyteller of epic tales, emphasizing the potential for meaningful life amidst materialistic pursuits. Lakshya Dabas was recognized as the Most Impactful Agri Creator for his innovative approach to natural farming, highlighting the Prime Minister’s emphasis on sustainable agriculture.

Cultural Ambassador of the Year went to Maithili Thakur for her contributions to preserving and promoting Indian folk music, underscoring the Prime Minister’s call for cultural preservation. The event also celebrated international creators, tech innovators, and influencers across various domains, acknowledging their roles in enriching the digital and cultural landscape of India.

The Prime Minister’s interactions with the awardees reflected a mutual appreciation for creativity, innovation, and the importance of an enabling environment fostered by initiatives like Digital India, Startup India, and the rejuvenation of cultural sites. This inaugural event not only celebrated the achievements of individual creators but also underscored the collective journey towards a progressive, inclusive, and sustainable future.
