Mrs. Malinee Srinara and Committee Members discuss cooperation with H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, preparing for Thailand’s Songkran Festival celebration in Singapore on 31st March 2024

ON March 8, 2024, Mrs. Malinee Srinara, President of the Thai Association Singapore, and Committee Members visited H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Singapore, at the Embassy. The meeting aimed to enhance cooperation in public diplomacy.

During the discussion, the Thai Association Committee Members expressed their deep appreciation for the Embassy’s continuous support, particularly in consular affairs and public engagement. Ambassador Chareontoh reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to fostering close ties with the Thai communities in Singapore through proactive and inclusive engagement.

The Thai Association also expressed readiness to participate in the Embassy’s upcoming Songkran Festival, scheduled to take place at the Royal Thai Embassy grounds on 31st March 2024. The festival celebrates Thailand’s Songkran, recognized as UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage, and serves as an opportunity for the Thai community in Singapore to come together and celebrate their cultural heritage.
