The Hungarian community in Singapore gathers for film festivals and botanical garden events to honor historical events.

THE Hungarian community in Singapore came together to commemorate the 1848/49 revolution and the War of Independence with two special events. The Hungary in Motion Film Festival closed with a screening of the Hungarian historical drama “Blockade,” attended by over 100 guests. Ambassador Judit Pach delivered a speech paying tribute to the heroes of the revolution, highlighting their bravery and sacrifice for freedom, sovereignty, and democracy.

Additionally, on Saturday, members of the Hungarian community gathered at the Hungarian tree in the Botanical Gardens for a commemorative event. Ambassador Judit Pach delivered a speech, followed by a singing of the national anthem and a picnic celebrating unity and national identity.
