The Hungarian community in Singapore gathered to celebrate their heritage at the CEEC United Club networking event, featuring an exhibition on Sándor Petőfi and a quiz on Hungarian culture.

ON 28 March 2024, the Hungarian community in Singapore came together to celebrate Hungary as the Country of the Month at the CEEC United Club networking event. The event was attended by a strong turnout of community members, Singaporean Chamber members, and business connections, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.

H.E. Judit Pach, Ambassador for Hungary in Singapore, graced the event with her presence and delivered an inspiring welcome note, emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange and connection.

The highlight of the evening was the “Petőfi: Around The World” exhibition, which showcased the life and art of Sándor Petőfi, a key figure in Hungarian history, particularly during the Revolution of 1848. Attendees had the opportunity to explore this significant aspect of Hungarian culture.

The event also featured a quiz on Hungarian culture, with Soh Wan Wei and Andrea Zsapka emerging as the winners. Lucky draw prizes included Hungarian hand-embroidered tablecloths, won by Soh Wan Wei and Peter Horvath.

As the evening came to a close, attendees had the opportunity to savor Hungarian palinka, a traditional Hungarian fruit brandy, adding a delightful end to a memorable night of celebration and cultural exchange.
