The Venezuelan Embassy celebrated the 213th Anniversary of Venezuelan Independence with a concert by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra at the Esplanade Concert Hall, featuring trumpeter Pacho Flores.
On July 6, 2024, the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, alongside distinguished guests, attended a concert by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra titled “Time for the Trumpets” at the prestigious Esplanade Concert Hall. The event, held to commemorate the 213th Anniversary of Venezuelan Independence, was part of the Embassy’s “July of Independence” cultural program in Singapore.
Ambassador Jessica María López Piña, accompanied by Venezuelan diplomatic staff, marked this significant national occasion by celebrating with an unforgettable musical performance. The concert featured the renowned Venezuelan trumpeter Pacho Flores and conductor Maestro Manuel Hernández-Silva, both acclaimed for their contributions to Venezuela’s System of Orchestras. The audience was treated to an exceptional repertoire that included the symphonic piece “Margariteña” by Venezuelan composer Inocente Carreño, performed for the first time at Singapore’s Esplanade Concert Hall.
The event was graced by numerous dignitaries, including high-ranking representatives from the Embassies of China, Russia, Mexico, and Panama, alongside members of the accredited Diplomatic Corps. Prominent figures from the fields of culture, art, journalism, and business, as well as Venezuelan musicians residing in Singapore, also attended, representing the Venezuelan community.
The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Singapore took pride in showcasing the excellence of Venezuelan musicians on such an important national date, underscoring the cultural and artistic ties between Venezuela and Singapore.
