World Opportunities Forum 2024 commenced with a dynamic launch event at Fullerton Hotel Singapore, featuring key speeches and a partner country spotlight on Saudi Arabia
Singapore, August 27th, 2024 — The World Opportunities Forum (WOF) 2024, an annual event organised by Sun Media Pte Ltd, took place on August 21, 2024, at the Fullerton Hotel in Singapore. The forum brought together top investors, policymakers, and industry experts from around the globe to explore emerging markets, share valuable insights, and build partnerships aimed at driving sustainable economic growth and development.
The launch segment of the forum commenced with registration and welcome refreshments at 8:30 am, followed by the opening ceremony at 9:00 am. The event was emceed by Mr. Carlos, who set the tone for a day of insightful discussions and networking. The launch ceremony included a photo session featuring Guests of Honor (GOHs), Heads of Mission, and panellists, capturing the momentous occasion.
During the launch, Ms. Nomita Dhar, the organiser and director of Sun Media Pte Ltd, delivered a welcoming address, highlighting the significance of the forum in fostering global dialogue and collaboration. H.E. Agustin Garcia Lopez, Mexico’s Ambassador to Singapore and Dean of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps, followed with a welcome speech emphasising the importance of international cooperation in today’s interconnected world.
A key highlight of the forum was the Partner Country Feature presented by H.E. Abdullah Mohammed Almadhi, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He shared insights into Saudi Arabia’s investment landscape and the opportunities available for global investors. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Lennon Tan, President of the Singapore Manufacturing Federation, who spoke about the critical role of manufacturing in sustainable economic growth and the need for innovation and adaptation in the face of global challenges.
