Grace Fu, Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, met with Mr Bat-Erdene Bat-Ulzii, Member of Mongolia’s State Great Khural and Deputy Head of its Environmental Protection Committee, during his visit to Singapore. The meeting marked their second in-person discussion, following Mr Bat-Erdene’s tenure as Mongolia’s Minister for Environment and Tourism.

During the meeting, held in Singapore, both parties discussed recent political developments in Mongolia and reaffirmed their countries’ shared commitment to addressing climate change. The discussions built on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Article 6 carbon credits collaboration, which was signed in 2023.

Singapore and Mongolia expressed optimism about advancing their environmental cooperation, with hopes of signing the Implementation Agreement on carbon credits collaboration in the near future.
