India promotes global engagement ahead of International Day of Yoga 2025 with award nominations and a creative jingle contest
The High Commission of India in Singapore, in partnership with Vyasa Yoga, officially launched the 75-day countdown to the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025. The event marks the beginning of a series of activities and initiatives leading up to the global celebration on 21 June 2025.

As part of the lead-up to IDY 2025, the Government of India has opened nominations for the Prime Minister’s Yoga Awards 2025. The awards recognise individuals and organisations that have made outstanding contributions to the promotion and practice of Yoga, fostering a healthier and more mindful society. Nominations can be submitted via the MyGov platform.

In addition, a Yog Geet Jingle contest has been launched to engage the public creatively. Participants are invited to compose and submit a jingle that captures the spirit of Yoga. Winning entries will receive a cash prize, with submissions accepted through the official MyGov website.
These activities aim to enhance global awareness of Yoga’s benefits and encourage public participation in the International Day of Yoga 2025.
