The Ambassador of Indonesia to Singapore, H.E. Suryo Pratomo, attended the 10th anniversary celebration of the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum in Singapore. The event was held in April 2025 and marked a decade of regional research into biodiversity and the preservation of cultural heritage.

President of Singapore, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, officiated the occasion, which gathered a number of distinguished guests and members of the academic and diplomatic community. The museum has played a central role in highlighting Southeast Asia’s natural history and advancing environmental education.

The anniversary celebration also included the launch of the exhibition A Decade of Discovery, showcasing key research milestones. Additionally, the book An Archipelago of Islands was launched during the event. The publication reflects on Singapore’s 60 years of nation-building and explores shared historical and cultural connections across the archipelago.

Ambassador Pratomo’s participation highlighted the importance of regional collaboration in both environmental preservation and cultural understanding.
