RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – Enterprise Singapore’s Deputy Managing Director, Tan Soon Kim, led a business mission to Saudi Arabia this week, engaging with government and industry leaders to explore new avenues for Singaporean companies under the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 initiative.
The visit highlighted promising prospects in maritime and aviation sectors, with Singapore firms securing strategic positions in port operations and aviation services. These developments align with Saudi Arabia’s ambitions to enhance connectivity as part of its Vision 2030 goals.
Infrastructure development remains a focal point, exemplified by projects like King Salman Park, which offer immediate opportunities in urban solutions, facilities management, and smart city implementation. The scale and ambition of such projects underscore Saudi Arabia’s commitment to urban transformation.
Food security is another priority area, with Saudi institutions evolving strategies that open doors for Singaporean expertise in agritech innovation and supply chain solutions. This aligns with the broader objectives of Vision 2030 to diversify the economy and ensure sustainable development.
The recently established Saudi-Singapore Strategic Partnership Council, co-chaired by Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, aims to deepen bilateral cooperation across various sectors, including economic development and innovation.
