
Gan to represent Singapore at OECD and WTO ministerials, strengthen digital and economic cooperation in France.
SINGAPORE, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong is in Paris, France, from 1 to 4 June 2025, for a series of high-level economic and trade meetings, reaffirming Singapore’s commitment to multilateralism and digital innovation.
During his visit, DPM Gan will attend the Ministerial Council Meeting of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). In addition, DPM Gan will participate in the Informal Ministerial Gathering of the World Trade Organization (WTO), hosted by Australia.
DPM Gan will also attend a side event on the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement (DEPA), where he will share Singapore’s perspectives on harnessing international cooperation to advance digital trade.
On the sidelines of these meetings, DPM Gan is scheduled to hold bilateral discussions with his counterparts from various countries. He is accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
