Singapore’s biggest Indian singing talent hunt returns with a multicultural message, highlighting the power of music to connect communities.

Singapore, 15 July 2025 — Masti Showcase 2025, Singapore’s largest Indian singing talent competition, concluded on a high note this month, delivering not just powerful vocal performances but also a strong message of racial harmony and cultural integration. The event, launched in 2011 by Masti Media Network, has grown to become a unique platform that nurtures local talent while celebrating diversity through music.

This year’s showcase was held in partnership with Harmony Circle, People’s Association, and IAEC Mountbatten, in conjunction with Racial Harmony Month. The grand finale, which featured performances in Hindi and Tamil, took place across two categories—Adults and Young Adults—and included special multicultural acts in Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese, and even a poetry recital in Bengali, reflecting the rich cultural fabric of Singapore.

The finals were judged by respected figures from Singapore’s music community: Amit Dhamelia, Ravindran Parchure, Mrs. Vicknesvari Vadivalagan, and Mrs. K.V. Godha, who brought credibility and depth to the judging panel.

The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Ms. Gho Sze Kee (Advisor, Mountbatten SMC) as Guest of Honour, and Ms. Pooja M Tillu (Deputy High Commissioner of India) as Special Guest. Also in attendance were Mr. David Soh, PBM, Chairman of Harmony Circle, and Ms. Renuka Arora Bhagat, Founder of Masti Media Network.

Since its inception in 2009, Masti Media Network has become a household name, creating meaningful cultural programming through its digital platforms, including Radio Masti 24×7 and MastiAVI. Initially launched on Mediacorp’s XFM96.3, the network transitioned to a fully digital format in 2016 following regulatory changes and has since reached over 1.2 million users in Singapore alone.

Masti has previously partnered with the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) and the National Integration Council on projects like the Montage of Singapore series, providing a platform for diverse communities to share their stories. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Masti also launched a Bangla radio stream in less than a week to support migrant workers, an initiative acknowledged by the Ministry of Manpower and the Ministry of Communications and Information.

A longstanding partner of the High Commission of India, Masti’s collaboration continues to be strong. In 2018, then-High Commissioner H.E. Jawed Ashraf praised the platform for its unifying spirit. In 2025, this legacy continued with renewed support from the Deputy High Commissioner of India.

At its core, Masti Showcase 2025 is not just about singing; it is about inclusion, celebration, and unity. As Singapore commemorates Racial Harmony Month, events like this continue to reinforce the message that culture and creativity can bring communities together.
