SMF 2025 gathered key players to spark fresh ideas, partnerships and talent development for Singapore’s MICE sector.

SINGAPORE — With the global Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) industry poised for transformation, the Singapore MICE Forum (SMF) 2025 set the agenda for what lies ahead under this year’s theme, “What’s Next?”

Organised by the Singapore Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (SACEOS) and supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), SMF 2025 ran from 23 to 25 July at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre. The event brought together industry leaders, partners and innovators to shape the future of Singapore’s business events sector.

A key highlight was the signing of a new Collaborative Agreement between STB and SACEOS to launch #BEInspiredSG — an incubator-accelerator programme designed to support local MICE talent and nurture fresh, homegrown event concepts through mentorship and resources. Additional partnerships were forged among the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), NTUC LearningHub and SACEOS to strengthen talent development and drive sustainable innovation in the sector.

In a fireside chat, SACEOS President Richard Ireland and STB Chief Executive Melissa Ow discussed ambitions to triple MICE tourism receipts by 2040 through close collaboration with industry partners. The Forum also recognised outstanding achievements at the Singapore MICE Awards, where Minister of State Alvin Tan honoured exceptional contributors and long-serving industry veterans for their commitment and impact.

SMF 2025 reinforced Singapore’s reputation as the World’s Best MICE City, underlining the nation’s dedication to driving resilience, innovation and new opportunities for the business events industry.
