
The ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta hosted the 58th ASEAN Day, highlighting regional unity, cultural exchange, and Indonesia’s strong engagement in ASEAN’s future
JAKARTA – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Sugiono, delivered remarks during the official ceremony commemorating the 58th ASEAN Day at the ASEAN Headquarters in Jakarta. His participation underscored Indonesia’s enduring commitment and active role in advancing ASEAN’s regional cooperation and integration.


The event was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of ASEAN centres and affiliated entities, youth and academia, as well as business leaders. In his address, H.E. Sugiono reaffirmed Indonesia’s dedication to fostering a united, resilient, and forward-looking ASEAN.
Joining H.E. Sugiono at the celebrations, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN, led a tour of the ASEAN Food Festival hosted by the ASEAN Women’s Circle. The festival showcased culinary offerings from all 10 ASEAN Member States, Timor-Leste, and ASEAN’s External Partners, providing a vibrant platform for cultural exchange and regional camaraderie.



The occasion reflected ASEAN’s shared vision of unity in diversity, offering not only a commemoration of the organisation’s past achievements but also a reaffirmation of its commitment to future progress.
