The Philippine Red Cross was recognised for its humanitarian partnership with the Singapore Red Cross at a ceremony graced by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam
The Philippine Embassy in Singapore has extended its congratulations to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) for receiving the Friend of Singapore Red Cross Award (FSRCA) at an awarding ceremony held on 2 September 2025 at the HomeTeamNS Khatib Ballroom, Singapore.
The prestigious award was presented by Guest-of-Honour and Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Patron of the Singapore Red Cross. Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Medardo G. Macaraig received the award on behalf of the PRC.
The FSRCA recognises individuals, groups, or organisations that have provided financial support or resources to further the humanitarian work of the Singapore Red Cross. The PRC and the Singapore Red Cross have maintained a long-standing partnership, collaborating on humanitarian assistance, disaster relief operations, and the repatriation of Filipinos in Singapore requiring medical attention.
The annual Awards Ceremony honours the contributions of partners, donors, and volunteers whose commitment and service have significantly advanced the Singapore Red Cross’ humanitarian mission.
