
Meeting underscored shared priorities and reaffirmed commitment ahead of 60 years of US–Singapore diplomatic ties.
The United States Ambassador to Singapore, Mr Sinha, met Singapore’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan last Friday in Singapore. The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on advancing shared priorities grounded in mutual respect.
During the discussion, Ambassador Sinha conveyed his appreciation for the warm welcome he had received since assuming his post in Singapore. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining strong communication channels as both countries prepare to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

The meeting reaffirmed the strong and enduring partnership between the United States and Singapore, particularly in areas such as diplomacy, security cooperation, and people-to-people ties. Both sides acknowledged the importance of continued collaboration as regional and global challenges evolve.
As the anniversary approaches, Ambassador Sinha reiterated his commitment to deepening the bilateral partnership and strengthening the friendship between the two nations.
