The High Commission of India in Singapore commemorated Republic Day 2026 with a vibrant programme featuring cultural performances, an exhibition, and participation from the Indian community and friends of India
The Republic Day 2026 celebrations were held at the High Commission of India in Singapore, bringing together members of the Indian community, diplomats, and friends of India to mark one of the country’s most significant national occasions. As part of the programme, the High Commissioner read excerpts from the address to the nation by the Hon’ble President of India, delivered on the eve of Republic Day, highlighting the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution and the nation’s continued progress.

The celebrations featured a series of cultural performances that reflected India’s rich and diverse heritage. Students from DPS International School, Singapore presented a lively performance, with the High Commission expressing its appreciation to the teachers and students for their support in making the event memorable. Their participation added a youthful and energetic dimension to the programme.

Further performances were delivered by students from GIIS East Coast Campus, Wise Oaks International School, NPS International School, and Kindle Kids International School. Each presentation showcased traditional and contemporary elements of Indian culture, contributing to a festive atmosphere that was warmly received by attendees. The High Commission acknowledged the collective efforts of the schools, teachers, and students in supporting the celebrations.
In addition, an exhibition themed “Vande Mataram” was showcased at the High Commission, drawing strong appreciation from guests. The exhibition and performances together underscored the enduring cultural ties between India and Singapore, while reinforcing the spirit of unity, patriotism, and shared values on the occasion of Republic Day 2026.
