Overseas voting officially commenced on 24 January 2026, with Thai nationals in Singapore casting their votes for Members of Parliament and participating in the national referendum at the Embassy from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. On the first day alone, 1,801 voters exercised their right to vote in the parliamentary election, while 1,374 voters participated in the referendum, reflecting strong engagement from the Thai community in Singapore.

On 25 January 2025, the Embassy also welcomed a delegation from Thailand’s Election Commission, led by Election Commissioner Mr Narong Rakroi, alongside senior advisors and officials. The delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the overseas polling process, including document verification points, voter registration lists, information and assistance counters, and areas displaying candidate information for constituency and party-list elections. The visit also included observations at various polling stations to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Following the inspection, the Election Commission delegation held discussions with the Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires and officials serving as polling officers. The exchange focused on feedback and recommendations to further improve overseas voting arrangements, particularly in areas such as voter registration and inclusion on electoral rolls. Singapore was noted as one of the top ten countries worldwide with the highest number of registered overseas Thai voters, with 4,428 registrants for the parliamentary election and 3,100 registrants for the referendum, underscoring the significance of Singapore as a key overseas voting centre.
