
From skill development to billion-rupee investment deals, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s three-day visit to Singapore focused on building global partnerships. Major MoUs in aviation, logistics, housing and digital infrastructure mark a strong push toward economic growth.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath began his official visit to Singapore from February 22 to 24 with a clear message — Uttar Pradesh is ready for global partnerships and large-scale investments. The visit focused on strengthening economic cooperation, enhancing institutional partnerships and exploring sector-specific collaborations between Uttar Pradesh and Singapore.
On Monday, the Chief Minister reviewed a detailed presentation on skill development and vocational training at the Institute of Technical Education. He toured the ITE College Central campus and its Aviation Hub facilities to understand Singapore’s industry-integrated training model. Sharing his experience on social media platform X, he said that he reviewed the training systems and witnessed the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen collaboration in technical and vocational education, aviation skills and industry-aligned programs. He added that these efforts would support Uttar Pradesh’s expanding infrastructure and employment ecosystem.



A major highlight of the visit was the signing of investment agreements worth ₹6,650 crore with Universal Success Group. The investment will support group housing, logistics infrastructure and data centre projects in the state. An international-themed township will be developed across 100 acres near Noida International Airport in Jewar with an investment of ₹3,500 crore. The township project is expected to create around 12,000 jobs.
In addition, a logistics park will be developed over 50 acres along the Kanpur-Lucknow Highway with an investment of ₹650 crore, generating nearly 7,500 employment opportunities. Plans were also discussed for a hyperscale data centre park in Noida and Greater Noida, with a proposed investment of ₹2,500 crore and a capacity of 40 MW. These agreements aim to boost industrial growth and create jobs across sectors.


During his stay, Yogi Adityanath held meetings with top global business leaders and government officials. He met Tan Su Shan, Chief Executive Officer of DBS Group, to discuss financial cooperation and project financing for infrastructure development in Uttar Pradesh. He also met Lim Chow Kiat, CEO of GIC, to explore long-term institutional investments in infrastructure, logistics and sustainable urban development. The Chief Minister appreciated GIC’s existing partnerships in projects such as the Ganga Expressway.
Talks were also held with Teo Chee Hean, Chairman of Temasek, focusing on sovereign investment opportunities in data centres, renewable energy and industrial infrastructure. Discussions highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s policy reforms and fast-track clearance system for global investors.
In the aviation sector, the Chief Minister met Kerry Mok, President and CEO of SATS Ltd. An MoU was signed to develop a world-class cargo complex at Noida International Airport, along with the establishment of a Taj SATS air catering kitchen that will serve Jewar and other airports in North India. He also visited the SATS Changi Airport Logistics Hub to study advanced air cargo handling and cold chain logistics systems.



Meetings were also conducted with Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong and Minister K. Shanmugam to strengthen institutional cooperation and investor confidence. The Chief Minister discussed governance reforms, digitalisation initiatives and ease-of-doing-business measures implemented in Uttar Pradesh.

Further discussions took place with Bruno Lopez of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres regarding hyperscale data centre infrastructure, and with Sanjay Gupta of Google about digital transformation and the possibility of establishing a dedicated Google AI and Skilling Centre in Uttar Pradesh.



The Chief Minister also interacted with leaders from Mapletree, PSA India, Greenfield Ventures, AVPN, Kaizenvest and the Private Infrastructure Development Group to explore partnerships in logistics, green energy, sustainable infrastructure and impact investment.
A special moment of the visit was his meeting with Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of Singapore. Yogi Adityanath expressed appreciation for Singapore’s strong partnership with India and noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India–Singapore relations have grown into a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.


The Chief Minister also participated in the Uttar Pradesh Investors’ Roadshow organized by the Singapore Business Federation. Addressing business leaders, he said that the “new Uttar Pradesh” offers safety, stability and speed for investors. He assured that investments in the state are secure and full of opportunity. He emphasized that Uttar Pradesh is moving from being a land of potential to a land of performance and is working toward becoming a one trillion-dollar economy in the coming years.

The Singapore visit reflects Uttar Pradesh’s strong push to attract global capital, strengthen skill development and build world-class infrastructure. With multiple MoUs signed and new partnerships formed, the visit marks an important step in expanding economic ties and accelerating growth in India’s most populous state.
