Series of meetings and engagements highlight Saudi–Singapore cooperation in trade, innovation, and sustainable development
The Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Singapore announced that Ambassador Mohammad Alghamdi conducted a series of engagements throughout March with government officials, business leaders, and institutional partners in Singapore. The meetings focused on strengthening Saudi–Singapore cooperation across trade, investment, innovation, and sustainable development.

As part of the engagements, Ambassador Alghamdi attended a Ramadan iftar hosted by Abdullah Al-Quraini, Managing Director of SABIC Asia Pacific, with representatives from Aramco Asia Singapore, Sipchem Asia, Bahri, and the Saudi National Bank. The gathering highlighted the role of Saudi companies in strengthening economic engagement with Singapore and fostering closer collaboration with regional partners.
Ambassador Alghamdi also met with Wong Sin, Director of the South Asia, Middle East and Africa Division at the Ministry of Trade and Industry Singapore, where discussions focused on strengthening bilateral economic and trade relations, promoting investment opportunities, and enhancing public–private sector engagement between the two countries.
In another engagement, the Ambassador attended a Ramadan iftar hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Singapore, with Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim as Guest of Honour. The gathering brought together ambassadors of Islamic countries in Singapore and senior officials to exchange views and reinforce diplomatic engagement during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The Ambassador also met organisers and stakeholders of Singapore International Water Week, scheduled to take place in June. Discussions covered water security challenges, innovation in water management technologies, and potential areas for cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Singapore in sustainable water solutions.
In addition, Ambassador Alghamdi met Maneesh Tripathi, Board Director of the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) and Chairman of the SME Centre at SICCI. The meeting explored opportunities for collaboration in innovation, healthcare, and artificial intelligence, as well as ways to strengthen business partnerships between Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
The engagements reflected the Embassy’s continued efforts to deepen diplomatic, economic, and technological cooperation with Singapore through dialogue with government institutions, private sector stakeholders, and international partners.
