
Thai and Singapore defence leaders discuss naval cooperation and regional security during official visit
The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, Pairote Fuangchan, conducted an official visit to Singapore from 23 to 25 February 2026. The delegation was welcomed upon arrival at Changi Airport by Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore.

During the visit, Admiral Pairote held a courtesy call and meeting with Chan Chun Sing, Singapore’s Minister for Defence, on 25 February 2026. The meeting took place as part of ongoing defence engagements aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

Both sides reaffirmed the longstanding defence relations between Thailand and Singapore and expressed support for further strengthening collaboration between the two countries’ naval forces. The discussions also covered developments in regional security and opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation in defence technology and military engagement.
Officials noted that such high-level exchanges contribute to maintaining strong defence ties and promote continued dialogue on security matters of mutual interest.
The visit underscored the shared commitment of Thailand and Singapore to advancing defence cooperation and strengthening regional security partnerships.
