
The 18th Meeting of the ASEAN Regional Forum Experts and Eminent Persons convened in Kuala Lumpur, providing a platform to discuss strengthening multilateral cooperation and addressing regional security challenges
The Eighteenth Meeting of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Experts and Eminent Persons (EEPs) was convened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, following a workshop on conflict prevention held the previous day.

The meeting brought together ARF Experts and Eminent Persons as well as the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for the ASEAN Political-Security Community. Participants exchanged views on strengthening the role of the ASEAN Regional Forum in addressing evolving regional security issues.
Discussions focused on ways to enhance multilateralism and reinforce the continued relevance and effectiveness of the ARF as a platform for dialogue and cooperation. Participants also shared insights on practical approaches to conflict prevention and confidence-building measures within the region.
The meeting underscored the importance of sustained engagement among policymakers, experts, and stakeholders in promoting regional stability, dialogue, and collaborative responses to emerging security challenges across the Asia-Pacific region.
