The Digital Defence Alliance Singapore (DDAS) celebrated its first anniversary with new partnerships aimed at strengthening Singapore’s digital defence capabilities through education, industry collaboration and youth engagement.

The Digital Defence Alliance Singapore (DDAS) marked its first anniversary with a series of Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) exchanges aimed at strengthening Singapore’s cybersecurity ecosystem and talent development pipeline.

At the anniversary event, DDAS signed MoUs with the Institute of Technical Education Singapore, Nanyang Polytechnic Singapore, and Singapore Polytechnic. The agreements are intended to deepen collaboration between educational institutions and industry partners to enhance Singapore’s digital security capabilities.

Over the past year, DDAS has worked closely with government agencies including the Infocomm Media Development Authority, the National Youth Council Singapore, and the Ministry of Defence Singapore to organise cyber defence initiatives, youth outreach programmes, community engagement activities, and hackathons.

These initiatives aim to build awareness of cybersecurity challenges and strengthen Singapore’s long-term digital resilience by nurturing a new generation of cyber defenders.

Officials highlighted that partnerships between community organisations, government agencies, and educational institutions are essential to strengthening Singapore’s digital defence posture in an increasingly complex cyber threat landscape.

The anniversary milestone reflects growing national efforts to integrate cybersecurity education, industry expertise, and youth development into a unified digital defence strategy under Singapore’s broader Smart Nation vision.
