The programme provided Indonesian citizens in Singapore with updates on citizenship regulations and personalised consultations on citizenship-related matters
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore (KBRI Singapore) organised a Dissemination of Citizenship Regulations and Citizenship Issues Coaching Clinic for members of the Indonesian community and diaspora in Singapore. The event was opened by the Deputy Chief of Mission of Indonesia to Singapore, H.E. Thomas Ardian Siregar, representing the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore. The programme aimed to enhance public understanding of citizenship-related matters and support informed decision-making in accordance with prevailing legal provisions.

The event formed part of the Embassy ongoing outreach and public engagement efforts for Indonesian citizens residing in Singapore. It brought together members of the Indonesian diaspora, government representatives, and community organisations to discuss developments in citizenship regulations and administrative procedures. The session featured speakers from the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia, through the Directorate General of General Legal Administration (Ditjen AHU), and the Indonesian Mixed Marriage Community (PERCA Indonesia), and was moderated by the Legal Attaché of the Embassy.

During the dissemination session, the speakers presented updates on citizenship regulations and addressed issues commonly encountered by Indonesians living abroad. Topics included the limited dual citizenship status granted to children born from mixed marriages, the citizenship selection process for children reaching the age stipulated by law, and procedures related to the renunciation of Indonesian citizenship.
Representatives from the Ministry of Law highlighted the importance of understanding the legal framework governing citizenship status and administrative obligations. The speakers also outlined the relevant procedures and requirements that individuals should observe when addressing citizenship-related matters.
In addition to the presentations, participants attended a coaching clinic and individual consultation sessions with the speakers. These one-to-one consultations provided opportunities for participants to seek clarification on specific cases, administrative requirements, citizenship status issues, and the procedural steps required under applicable laws and regulations.
