Ambassador Mohammad Alghamdi, Saudi Ambassador to Singapore, participated in a series of meetings in Singapore with representatives from the technology sector and the diplomatic community. The discussions centred on opportunities for collaboration in innovation, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and bilateral relations, reflecting ongoing efforts to strengthen international partnerships and engagement.
The meetings took place as part of the Ambassador’s institutional and diplomatic engagements in Singapore. One meeting was held on the sidelines of GITEX Asia 2026, while other discussions involved representatives from the private sector and the diplomatic corps. The engagements provided a platform for the exchange of views on technology, innovation, and areas of mutual interest.
During a meeting with Mr. Chris McCuin, Managing Director for Southeast Asia at GITEX Asia 2026, Ambassador Alghamdi discussed opportunities for cooperation in technology, innovation, and artificial intelligence. The discussions also explored potential avenues for engagement between relevant Saudi entities and stakeholders participating in the regional technology ecosystem
Ambassador Alghamdi also met with Mr. John Hui, Chief Operating Officer of VIZZIO Technologies. The meeting focused on opportunities for cooperation in digital twin technologies, artificial intelligence, and smart city solutions. Discussions further addressed digital transformation initiatives and potential areas of collaboration aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
As part of his diplomatic engagements, Ambassador Alghamdi received His Excellency Sheikh Jaber Duaij Al-Sabah, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Singapore. During the meeting, Ambassador Alghamdi conveyed his congratulations on Sheikh Jaber’s appointment and extended his best wishes for a successful tenure in Singapore.
The discussion also reaffirmed the longstanding fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait. Both sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and underscored the importance of continued cooperation and dialogue.
