
Singapore’s Non-Resident High Commissioner to Rwanda, H.E. Jaspal Singh, visited Nyandungu Eco-Park to learn more about Rwanda’s environmental initiatives and explore opportunities for future collaboration. The visit underscored the shared commitment of both countries to advancing sustainable development and green investment.
Following his meeting with Rwanda’s Minister of Environment, H.E. Jaspal Singh, Singapore’s Non-Resident High Commissioner to Rwanda, visited Nyandungu Eco-Park as part of his official programme in the country. He was welcomed by Mr. Faustin Munyazikwiye, Deputy Director General of the Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA), who introduced the park’s environmental conservation efforts and sustainability initiatives.

The visit provided an opportunity for the High Commissioner to gain first-hand insight into Rwanda’s approach to ecological restoration, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable urban development. Nyandungu Eco-Park has become a flagship example of Rwanda’s commitment to integrating environmental protection with community recreation and eco-tourism.

A key focus of the visit was to explore avenues for greater collaboration between Singapore and Rwanda in the field of sustainability. Discussions centred on connecting Singaporean investors, businesses, and technical experts with Rwanda’s growing portfolio of green initiatives, with the aim of fostering knowledge exchange and supporting sustainable economic development.

The engagement reflects the strengthening relationship between Singapore and Rwanda, particularly in areas related to environmental management, climate resilience, and sustainable investment. By encouraging partnerships between public institutions and private sector stakeholders, both countries aim to promote innovative solutions that contribute to long-term environmental and economic sustainability.
