IN Diplomacy met with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Singapore to discuss a new editorial initiative dedicated to strengthening understanding of China–Singapore relations through regular coverage of bilateral cooperation, trade, culture, and diplomacy.
Ms Nomita Dhar, Editor-in-Chief of IN Diplomacy, recently met with representatives from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Singapore to discuss opportunities for closer media collaboration and expanded coverage of China–Singapore relations.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on strengthening public awareness of the longstanding partnership between China and Singapore through quality editorial content. One of the key outcomes of the discussion was Sun Media’s plan to introduce a dedicated China section on the IN Diplomacy platform, featuring regular news and developments relating to China.
As part of this initiative, IN Diplomacy also intends to publish daily updates covering China’s diplomatic engagements, economic developments, cultural exchanges, innovation, tourism, education, and bilateral cooperation with Singapore and the wider international community.
The initiative reflects Sun Media’s commitment to providing readers with timely and balanced coverage of one of Singapore’s most significant international partnerships.
China and Singapore share a longstanding and multifaceted relationship anchored by deep economic ties and high-level institutional cooperation. China has consistently remained Singapore’s largest trading partner, while Singapore is China’s largest foreign investor. Over the years, the two countries have expanded collaboration across trade, finance, technology, sustainability, education, connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges, supported by regular high-level dialogues and government-to-government projects.
The meeting also reaffirmed the importance of media in fostering greater understanding between nations by highlighting shared achievements, emerging opportunities, and areas of cooperation. Through the new China section, IN Diplomacy aims to provide readers with comprehensive coverage of China’s engagement with Singapore, as well as broader regional and global developments.
The planned editorial expansion underscores Sun Media’s continued commitment to promoting international diplomacy and strengthening bilateral understanding through trusted journalism and meaningful engagement with diplomatic missions.
