Congratulatory message from H.E. Mohammad Abdullah S. Alghamdi, Ambassador of the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Singapore, on the occasion of Singapore’s 61st National Day
“As Singapore proudly marks the 61st anniversary of its independence, it is my great honour and privilege to extend, on behalf of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, my warmest congratulations and heartfelt best wishes to the Government and people of the Republic of Singapore.
Saudi Arabia and Singapore share a strong and steadily growing partnership founded on mutual respect, trust, and a shared commitment to progress and prosperity. Although our nations are geographically distant, we are united by common aspirations and have cultivated a dynamic relationship encompassing trade, investment, energy, innovation, connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges.
A significant milestone in our bilateral relations was the establishment of the Saudi Arabia–Singapore Strategic Partnership Council in January 2025, co-chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Prime Minister of Singapore. As Singapore’s first strategic partnership with a Middle Eastern country, the Council reflects our shared commitment to elevating cooperation across multiple sectors and charting a long-term vision for our partnership.
I am encouraged by the growing momentum in collaboration between our two countries. Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 presents significant opportunities for Singaporean companies to contribute to our national transformation, while Singapore continues to serve as an important gateway for Saudi businesses seeking to expand across the ASEAN region. Together, we are building bridges that connect the Middle East and Southeast Asia, creating new opportunities for our peoples and economies.
As Saudi Arabia advances its ambitious Vision 2030 agenda and Singapore continues to strengthen its position as a leading global hub, I am confident that our bilateral relations will reach even greater heights. The strong economic complementarity between our two nations, coupled with our shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and international cooperation, provides a solid foundation for an even brighter future.
On this joyous occasion, I once again extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Government and people of Singapore. May the Republic of Singapore continue to enjoy peace, prosperity, and success, and may the enduring friendship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Singapore continue to flourish for many years to come.
Happy 61st National Day, Singapore.”
