Congratulatory message from H.E Sergey Pavlovich Ganzha, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Singapore on the occasion of Singapore’s 61st National Day
“On the occasion of the 61st National Day of the Republic of Singapore, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to the Government and people of Singapore, celebrating a country whose journey stands as one of the most remarkable success stories of our time.
In just six decades, Singapore has transformed itself into a global model of progress – a leading centre of trade, finance, and innovation, admired worldwide for its stability, foresight, and institutional excellence. Its achievements in economic growth, digital and green technology, education, and quality of life are an inspiration to nations across every continent. Russia salutes the vision and discipline that have made Singapore a symbol of what determination and good governance can accomplish.

Russia and Singapore have been steady partners since establishing diplomatic relations in 1968. Over nearly six decades, these longstanding ties have grown through trade, investment, energy, culture, and people-to-people exchange. This spirit of forward-looking dialogue was displayed in June 2026, when H.E. Prime Minister Lawrence Wong took part in the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit in Kazan, marking 35 years of ASEAN-Russia relations and 30 years of Dialogue Partnership. His participation, together with the meeting with H.E. President Vladimir Putin, is opening a promising new chapter in our engagement.
As Singapore celebrates this proud milestone, Russia reaffirms its commitment to a future-oriented relationship grounded in equity, respect, and shared prosperity. We wish the Government and people of Singapore continued progress and success – and look forward to writing the next pages of our bilateral relations together.”
