
Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Cao Zhongming met with Qatar’s Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Almalki Aljehani at the Embassy of China in Singapore, exchanging views on developments in the Middle East and Gulf region. The two sides also reaffirmed their commitment to peace, stability and stronger China–Qatar ties.
Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Cao Zhongming received H.E. Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Almalki Aljehani, Ambassador of Qatar to Singapore, at the Embassy of China in Singapore. The meeting marked a formal engagement between the two ambassadors, who had previously met on various occasions.
During the meeting, Ambassador Cao and Ambassador Aljehani discussed the situation in the Middle East and the Gulf region, with a focus on the importance of maintaining peace and stability amid ongoing regional developments. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to supporting regional stability.
The two ambassadors also highlighted the strengthening of China–Qatar relations, with both countries continuing to deepen cooperation across various areas. Ambassador Cao expressed his expectation of working closely with Ambassador Aljehani to identify new opportunities for collaboration.
The meeting also touched on broader regional cooperation involving China, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and ASEAN. Ambassador Cao said he looked forward to working with Ambassador Aljehani to inject new impetus into cooperation among the three regions, supporting greater connectivity and shared development.
