The Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore congratulated three Thai senior officials who successfully completed the 18th Leaders in Governance Programme (LGP), organised by the Civil Service College of Singapore from 18 to 26 August 2026. The programme brought together senior representatives from across ASEAN member states and partner countries to exchange insights on effective governance and public sector leadership.

On 26 August, Mrs. Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, attended the closing ceremony of the programme. She extended a warm welcome and congratulations to the Thai delegates for their successful completion of the programme and their contributions to the regional exchange of knowledge and experience.

The Thai participants were Dr. Benjarong Suwankiri, Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance; Mr. Hatai Chunhapran, Senior Advisor to the National Intelligence Agency; and Dr. Pakorn Apaphant, Executive Director of the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (Public Organisation) (GISTDA). The three delegates received their certificates of completion from Mr. Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Defence and Coordinating Minister for Public Services of Singapore.

The 18th LGP provided a valuable platform for participants to explore best practices in public sector governance, leadership and institutional development. With more than 40 representatives from public sector agencies, private enterprises and political spheres across ASEAN member states and partner countries, the programme also facilitated high-level networking and the exchange of perspectives on regional governance challenges.

The participation of the Thai delegates highlights Thailand’s continued engagement in regional initiatives aimed at strengthening public sector leadership and governance. Through programmes such as the LGP, senior officials have opportunities to develop professional networks, share experiences and foster greater cooperation between Thailand, Singapore and other countries in the region.
