The visit explored the Thakral-Orion partnership and its links between Singapore investment and Hungarian industry.
Dr. Imola Anett Szabó, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Hungary in Singapore, visited Orion Electronics in Hungary following her earlier meeting with the Thakral family in Singapore.
The visit focused on the Hungarian side of the Thakral-Orion partnership, which began in 1997 when Thakral acquired Orion, a Hungarian brand whose roots date back to 1913.
By visiting Orion’s operations in Hungary, Dr. Szabó continued the engagement that had begun in Singapore and gained a closer view of the industrial side of the partnership. The relationship illustrated the link between Singaporean investment and Hungarian industrial expertise, as well as the value of long-term business partnerships in supporting economic ties between Singapore and Hungary.
