Last week, the Embassy of Hungary in Singapore hosted a special community gathering aimed at uniting members of the academic sphere. The event served to celebrate the strong ties that bring people together through the shared pursuits of education and science.
The gathering welcomed a diverse group of attendees from the local Hungarian community. Participants included Hungarian students currently studying in Singapore, alongside Stipendium Hungaricum alumni. Furthermore, Hungarian professors and researchers who are currently working in Singapore were also in attendance.
Upon arrival, the participants were officially welcomed by Dr. Imola Anett Szabó, who serves as the Chargé d’Affaires a.i.. It was noted that seeing so many members of the Hungarian academic community coming together in the city-state was a truly wonderful sight.
Overall, the evening provided an excellent opportunity for networking and community building. Attendees were able to meet familiar faces whilst also connecting with new members of the community, resulting in reinforced bilateral relationship between the two nations through academic excellence.
