EOS-05 entered its intended orbit aboard ISRO’s nineteenth GSLV mission successfully.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully placed the EOS-05 satellite into its intended orbit, completing the GSLV-F17 mission. EOS-05 is a state-of-the-art Earth observation spacecraft and India’s first imaging satellite from geosynchronous orbit.
The mission was the 19th flight of India’s Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV). GSLV-F17 placed EOS-05 into a Sub-Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (Sub-GTO), with the launch planned from the Second Launch Pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SHAR.
