Fifty businesses demonstrated practical sustainability measures through the DBS ESG Ready Programme
The DBS ESG Ready Programme, supported by Enterprise Singapore, celebrated its second batch of graduating companies at this year’s DBS Sustainability Day. The programme highlighted how businesses had adopted practical sustainability measures and applied them to their operations, cost management and business development.

A total of 50 businesses demonstrated the value of adopting sustainability practices through their participation in the programme. Their experiences showed that companies could approach sustainability from different starting points while taking practical steps suited to their individual business needs.

Freshening Industries, for example, reduced its electricity bills by 50 per cent after adopting renewable energy and implementing energy-efficiency improvements. The company’s experience demonstrated how sustainability measures could also contribute to operational cost savings.
Other participating businesses applied sustainability practices to support their growth and business development. Kingsmen Creatives and HCH Cleaning Services leveraged their sustainability efforts to meet requirements stipulated by their clients, enabling them to respond to sustainability expectations as part of their business activities.
The DBS ESG Ready Programme provided a platform for businesses to work towards adopting sustainability practices, with the experiences of its second graduating batch illustrating different approaches to the sustainability journey. The examples presented at DBS Sustainability Day included measures related to renewable energy, energy efficiency and meeting client sustainability requirements.
The programme was supported by Enterprise Singapore and undertaken with DBS Bank Singapore. The initiative reflected an approach in which businesses could take meaningful and practical steps towards sustainability according to their individual circumstances.
The experiences of the 50 graduating businesses also highlighted how sustainability measures could deliver practical outcomes for companies. These included reducing electricity costs through renewable energy and energy-efficiency improvements, as well as supporting business development by helping companies meet sustainability requirements set by their clients.
The DBS ESG Ready Programme’s second batch therefore demonstrated the range of ways businesses could incorporate sustainability considerations into their operations and growth strategies. Through initiatives supported by Enterprise Singapore and DBS Bank Singapore, participating businesses continued their sustainability journeys while working towards becoming more resilient and prepared for a greener economy.
