SINGAPORE, 17 November 2023 – Following the resounding success of its previous editions, Borsa Vini, the acclaimed one-day Italian wine trade exhibition, is set to make its triumphant return to Singapore for its 4th edition on 23 November 2023. Organised by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Borsa Vini 2023 promises a captivating showcase of Italian wines that will undoubtedly enchant the discerning palates of local wine buyers, enthusiasts, and sommeliers. Taking place at the Intercontinental Hotel Bugis (Ballrooms 1, 2, and 3), this year’s edition will host 21 Italian wineries alongside local and ASEAN wine operators, fostering new business connections through a series of dedicated B2B meetings. Italy’s winemaking is a true marvel, boasting rich diversity thanks to its various regions characterised by mountains, seas, and distinctive landscapes, which only adds to the richness of the event.
Furthermore, ITA’s extensive network of offices in Southeast Asian countries will also bring together a delegation of 13 foreign buyers, importers, and distributors from Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. This not only offers Italian companies a remarkable opportunity to strengthen their presence in Singapore but also to foster invaluable collaborations that extend far beyond its borders.
Exclusive to a selected audience of media publications and sommeliers, attendees can also look forward to a Specialised Masterclass (Ballroom 3) from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, thoughtfully curated and hosted by local sommelier Jessica Anne Tan from SingaPoured.com. Titled “A Speed-Tasting Journey Through Italian Native Grapes“, the session invites participants to embark on a voyage through the unique history, time-honoured traditions, and cultural significance of Italy’s native grape varieties.
In this one-hour workshop, participants will savour a carefully selected collection of 10 Italian wines, each a masterpiece from regions like Toscana, Friuli–Venezia Giulia, Puglia, Campania, Piemonte, Sardegna and Veneto. The wines will unveil the diverse tapestry of terroirs, flavours, and aromas that Italy is celebrated for. Moreover, this exclusive session promises to unlock the doors to rare and limited-production Italian wines, adding a rich layer to participants’ wine knowledge and creating an unforgettable journey through Italy’s vinicultural heritage.

From January to July 2023, Italy continued to be Singapore’s second-largest European supplier, with exports totalling 13.2 million euros, showcasing the enduring partnership between the two nations. Italy’s prominence in the global wine industry is well-documented. In 2022, Italy exported 2.1 million litres of wine valued at 7.8 billion euros, representing an increase of 9.8% in value compared to the previous year. The export of Italian wine to Singapore has been steadily rising, with 2.4 million litres worth 24.6 million euros exported in 2022, marking an 11% increase in volume and a 20.7% increase in value compared to the previous year. From January to July 2023, Italy continued to be Singapore’s second-largest European supplier, with exports totalling 13.2 million euros. Italy also maintains its position as the world’s fifth-largest exporter.
The Borsa Vini 2023 Edition will be held on 23 November 2023 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM with closing remarks from the Ambassador of Italy to Singapore, Dante Brandi, at 3:00 PM, at Intercontinental Hotel Bugis.
