The Singapore Manufacturing Federation hosted a high-level Chinese delegation to advance cross-border collaboration in sustainability, innovation, and Industry 5.0 transformation.
The Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) welcomed a senior delegation from Kuntin Group and the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) on 3 August 2025, marking a significant step in enhancing China–Singapore industrial cooperation.
Led by Mr Qiu Ming, Chairman of Kuntin Group, the visit underscored a shared vision to advancing Industry 5.0 transformation, where digitalisation, sustainability and human-centric innovation intersect. SMF President Mr Lennon Tan highlighted the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), SMF’s sustainability leadership, and the strategic and the importance of deeper ASEAN–China economic partnerships, in line with SMF’s goal of helping members expand internationally and seize next-generation opportunities.
A key moment of the engagement was the introduction of the Asia Pacific Green Alliance (APGA) by SMF Chief Sustainability Officer Ms Clara Kwan. The APGA aims to accelerate the region’s green transition efforts across Asia-Pacific.
The visit concluded with the signing of an agreement between SMF and Kuntin Group on APGA, formalised by SMF Vice President and Sustainability Function Committee Chairman Mr Melvin Tan, and Kuntin Group Chairman Mr Qiu Ming.
