
The Philippine Embassy in Singapore congratulates the Government and people of Singapore on six decades of nationhood, highlighting strong bilateral ties and shared aspirations
SINGAPORE – The Philippine Embassy in Singapore has conveyed heartfelt congratulations to Singapore on the occasion of its 60th National Day, celebrated today, 9 August 2025.
In a message delivered on behalf of the Embassy and the Filipino community, His Excellency Medardo G. Macaraig praised Singapore’s remarkable transformation and progress over the past six decades. He described the nation as a model of resilience and innovation that continues to inspire other countries, including the Philippines.
Ambassador Macaraig underscored the enduring friendship between the two nations, noting that Singapore has been a trusted and reliable partner of the Philippines for 56 years. The relationship, he said, is anchored on shared goals for a peaceful, stable, secure, and prosperous region.
He also acknowledged the presence of more than 215,000 Filipinos living and working in Singapore, contributing to the city-state’s vibrant, multicultural community.
Looking ahead, the Ambassador expressed optimism for deepening cooperation between the Philippines and Singapore at bilateral, regional, and multilateral levels. “May this memorable occasion be filled with joy and may our Philippines–Singapore relations flourish to greater heights in the years ahead,” he said, concluding with the greetings, “Mabuhay! Majulah Singapura!”
