MADINAH, Saudi Arabia — During the 45th King Abdulaziz International Competition, participants praised Saudi Arabia’s rapid development and its commitment to preserving Islamic heritage. Organised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, the competition brought contestants from 128 countries to the Kingdom. Their visits underscored Saudi Arabia’s leading role as a global religious and cultural centre.

Many contestants highlighted the meticulous care given to Madinah’s historical and religious landmarks. They viewed these sites as a rich cultural heritage embodying the deep history of Islam. The visits were part of a comprehensive program designed to enrich their experience beyond the competition itself.

Contestants also expressed admiration for the modern facilities and services available to visitors and pilgrims. Abdulrahman Abdullah Othman from Somalia noted his delight with the visits, stating they “showcased a rich cultural and historical heritage reflecting many aspects of Islamic history.” Furthermore, Mustafa Drame from Guinea-Bissau affirmed the Kingdom’s status as a top global destination, highlighting its major tourism projects and its growing capacity to welcome visitors.

The participants collectively thanked the Kingdom’s leadership for its continuous support of the Holy Quran and its memorisers. The spiritual visits arranged by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs were seen as reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s significant role in serving Islam and the global Muslim community.
