The agreement is aimed at helping establish a school of culinary arts in Riyadh to train Saudis for employment in the hospitality and F&B sectors.

The Singapore Embassy team witnessed the signing of an agreement between Modern Hospitality Company and SHATEC Global on March 13, 2022. Also witness to the signing were Saudi Ministry of Tourism Deputy Minister of Investment Attraction Mahmoud Abdulhadi, Deputy Minister of Tourism Human Capabilities Development Mohamed Bushnaq, as well as colleagues from MTI and ESG. The SHATEC team was led by CEO Lim Boon Kwee.

The collaboration between SHATEC, a school for the industry by the industry established by the Singapore Hotel Association (SHA) and Modern Hospitality Company will lead to the establishment of a school of culinary arts in Riyadh to train Saudis for employment in the hospitality and F&B sectors. It will further raise standards in these sectors and contribute to human capital development in Saudi Arabia.
