The High Commission of India in Singapore welcomed INS Nistar back to port following the successful completion of the sea phase of Exercise Pacific Reach 2025 (XPR25). The exercise involved the participation of navies from across the region, underscoring the importance of cooperation in maritime safety and rescue operations.

During the sea phase, INS Nistar deployed its Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle (DSRV) and Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV). These systems were utilised to conduct seamless submarine rescue operations, showcasing the vessel’s advanced capabilities and the Indian Navy’s operational readiness.

The exercise reaffirmed the Indian Navy’s ability to operate alongside submarine rescue assets from other participating nations. It highlighted India’s role as a dependable maritime partner, committed to enhancing regional safety and contributing to humanitarian response efforts.

The deployment also represented a significant step forward in submarine rescue readiness, demonstrating the effectiveness of India’s indigenous shipbuilding and technological advancements.
