Saudi arabia Communications, Space and Technology Commission wrapped up a series of awareness sessions aimed at strengthening investor engagement and unlocking opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s growing space sector
Saudi Arabia Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) has concluded a series of specialised awareness sessions on investment in the space sector, organised in partnership with the Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (VCPEA). The initiative was designed to strengthen engagement between investors and promising space companies while raising awareness of emerging opportunities within this strategic sector.
The series comprised a range of initiatives, including targeted awareness events for investors and high-potential companies, as well as educational workshops focused on building sector-specific knowledge. These activities aimed to bridge the gap between innovation and investment, creating stronger connections within the space ecosystem.
The concluding session opened with a presentation highlighting key emerging technologies in the space sector and the investment potential they offer. This was followed by a panel discussion moderated by VCPEA Chief Executive Officer Qusai Al-Saif, featuring investors active in the space industry. Discussions explored recent developments shaping the sector, as well as the growing interest among entrepreneurs and investors.
Panellists also examined the role of enabling technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, and their wider impact across sectors including food security, urban development and defence. The discussion reflected the increasing volume of investment in space-related technologies and the rapid adoption of their solutions across multiple industries.
The awareness sessions form part of CST’s broader efforts to cultivate a dynamic investment environment for the space sector. By positioning space as an innovative economic driver, the initiative supports income diversification, the empowerment of national talent and the growth of startups, in line with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
