A major global carpet trade fair will bring together hundreds of exhibitors and international buyers in India’s capital.
The 50th edition of the India Carpet Expo will be held from 11 to 14 April 2026 at the NSIC Exhibition Complex in New Delhi. The event is being organized by the Carpet Export Promotion Council, which works under the Government of India to promote carpet exports.
This special 50th edition marks a milestone for the handmade carpet industry. More than 200 leading manufacturers and exporters from across India are expected to showcase a wide range of handmade carpets, rugs, and floor coverings. The expo is also likely to attract over 500 international buyers from more than 60 countries.
The event will serve as a business-to-business platform, allowing global buyers, importers, designers, and retailers to connect directly with Indian manufacturers. It aims to strengthen international trade partnerships and increase export opportunities for the Indian carpet industry.
To encourage participation, the council is offering a complimentary package to selected overseas buyers. This includes two nights of hotel accommodation in New Delhi between 10 and 14 April 2026, along with shuttle services between the hotel and the exhibition venue. However, the offer will only be available to selected buyers, and final approval will be decided by the council.
The India Carpet Expo is known as one of Asia’s largest trade fairs dedicated exclusively to handmade carpets. It highlights India’s long tradition of carpet weaving and showcases both traditional and modern designs to a global audience.
Organizers have invited overseas buyers to register early to take advantage of the hospitality package and attend this landmark edition of the expo.
