The Erasmus+ programme has continued to strengthen global educational and cultural exchange by providing opportunities for students from around the world to study and experience life in Europe.

Since its launch in 2014, Erasmus+ has supported more than 16 million students and participants through academic exchange, training, and mobility programmes across European countries. The initiative has become one of the world’s most recognized international student exchange programmes, promoting cross-cultural learning and international cooperation.

In 2024, Germany remained one of the most popular destinations for Erasmus+ participants, welcoming more than 115,200 students. The country continues to attract international students through its strong academic institutions, research opportunities, and vibrant cultural environment.

The Erasmus+ programme also plays a significant role in encouraging youth mobility, educational partnerships, and international collaboration among universities and institutions worldwide.
