The ceremony was held at the Embassy’s newly reconstructed Chancery, which was inaugurated in October 2025, making it the first Independence Day flag-raising ceremony conducted at the new premises. Community leaders and representatives from business, professional, cultural, civic, faith-based, and other Filipino organisations in Singapore joined Embassy officials for the occasion.

The programme commenced with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the recitation of the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas. Participants subsequently viewed and listened to messages commemorating Philippine Independence from Philippine government leaders and officials.

A video message from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. was presented during the ceremony, while messages from Foreign Affairs Secretary Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro, Trade and Industry Secretary Maria Cristina A. Roque, and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Administrator Patricia Yvonne “PY” Caunan were delivered by Embassy representatives.

As part of the celebrations, the Embassy launched Flavors of Diplomacy: The Philippine Food Guide in the Lion City, a digital publication highlighting the presence of Filipino cuisine in Singapore and recognising the contributions of Filipino entrepreneurs and culinary professionals to the local food industry.

The ceremony also recognised the 31st anniversary of Migrant Workers Day, observed on 7 June, and paid tribute to the contributions of overseas Filipinos to national development, as well as to the welfare of their families and communities.

Following the formal programme, guests participated in a fellowship breakfast and open house. The activities provided an opportunity for attendees to visit the Embassy’s facilities, including Sentro Rizal Singapore, and engage with fellow members of the Filipino community.
