The Philippine Embassy in Singapore, together with the Filipino community, conveyed its heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Republic of Singapore on the occasion of its 61st National Day Celebration.
The Embassy highlighted the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the Philippines and Singapore, expressing hope that the milestone would further strengthen bilateral ties. It also reaffirmed the shared commitment of both countries to advancing mutual progress, prosperity and closer people-to-people connections.
The Filipino community in Singapore joined the celebrations in a show of solidarity, with members coming together in red and white to mark Singapore’s National Day. The occasion reflected the strong presence and contribution of the Filipino community within Singapore’s multicultural society.
Adding a musical dimension to the celebrations, the Mecosono Chamber Orchestra performed an encore rendition of Home, Singapore’s well-known song, during its concert at Sinagtala Hall on 24 July. The performance formed part of Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino and served as a special tribute to Singapore, celebrating the country through music and highlighting the cultural connections shared between Filipinos and Singaporeans.
