Visit focused on customs cooperation and preparations for Johor Bahru-Singapore RTS Link.
The Pejabat Pemungut Cukai Kastam Persekutuan (PCKP) Singapura received a courtesy visit from H.E. Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore, to discuss customs and cross-border cooperation between Malaysia and Singapore. The visit focused on strengthening engagement between the High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore and PCKP Singapura, particularly in customs matters and preparations for the operation of the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link Johor Bahru-Singapore.

During the courtesy visit, H.E. Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin engaged with representatives of PCKP Singapura on matters relating to customs and cross-border arrangements. The interaction provided an opportunity for the Malaysian High Commission and the Singapore customs authorities to discuss areas of mutual cooperation relevant to cross-border movement between the two countries.

A key area of discussion was the upcoming operation of the RTS Link Johor Bahru-Singapore. The cross-border rail project connects Johor Bahru in Malaysia with Singapore and requires coordination on relevant customs matters as preparations continue towards its operation.
The engagement also highlighted the role of customs cooperation in facilitating cross-border processes between Malaysia and Singapore. Discussions between the Malaysian High Commission and PCKP Singapura centred on customs affairs and arrangements associated with the movement of people and cross-border activities.

The courtesy visit reflected the continued engagement between the High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore and PCKP Singapura on matters within their respective areas of responsibility. It also provided a platform for both sides to maintain communication on customs-related issues linked to the Johor Bahru-Singapore border.

Preparations for the RTS Link operation were therefore among the areas addressed during the visit, alongside broader customs and cross-border matters. The engagement underscored the importance of coordination between relevant authorities as Malaysia and Singapore prepare for the next stage of the Johor Bahru-Singapore RTS Link.
