Visitors can explore AlUla’s landscapes through night-sky activities, outdoor adventures and cultural experiences.
AlUla will host a 10-day programme of outdoor, cultural and entertainment experiences from 6 to 15 November 2026, inviting visitors to explore the Saudi Arabian destination’s natural landscapes and ancient heritage through a series of activities.
The programme will feature hot air balloon rides offering panoramic views of AlUla’s distinctive terrain, expert-led stargazing sessions and open-air cinema screenings. Visitors will also have opportunities to observe the Leonid meteor shower, which can produce approximately 20 meteors per hour under ideal viewing conditions.

Another feature is the “HUSAAK” initiative, which will offer additional activities, including guided walks beneath the night sky. The programme combines outdoor exploration with opportunities to experience AlUla’s natural and cultural heritage after dark.

AlUla’s reputation as a stargazing destination is supported by its recognition as the first Dark Sky site in the region. DarkSky International has designated four locations in the area as International Dark Sky Places: AlUla Manara, AlGharameel Nature Reserve, Sharaan National Park and Wadi Nakhlah Nature Reserve.
These designated locations are protected for their natural environments and dark skies. Efforts to limit light pollution support the conservation of the night-time environment while creating favourable conditions for astronomy and stargazing activities.
The November programme offers visitors opportunities to experience AlUla through a combination of adventure, nature and cultural discovery, with activities designed to showcase the destination during both daytime and evening hours.
